Dr Subramanian Swamy suggests India’s Long-Term Goal should Be To Break Pakistan Into Four parts

Friday, December 5, 2025

The latest tweet by controversial BJP politician and former Union Minister Dr. Subramanian Swamy suggesting a permanent solution to the cross border terrorism India is facing from the neighbouring country Pakistan has now sparked a heated debate. His comments on his official Twitter account revealed what India’s long-term goal is towards Pakistan.

On Tuesday, Swamy said on his official X account, “Our long-term goal is to break up Pakistan. Balochistan, Sindh, and Pashtunistan should be separated and formed as independent countries. In addition, West Punjab or ‘Bakistan’ should be targeted by the enemy.” This tweet seems to support the separatist movements in Pakistan.

Moreover, by using the word “Bakistan”, he sarcastically targeted West Punjab. In the tweet,  he stated that the first three of these four regions should be formed as independent countries, while the rest of West Punjab should be addressed as “Bakistan” and viewed as an enemy. It seems to be intended to weaken Pakistan.

These comments are likely to further aggravate the tensions in India-Pakistan relations. Especially after the recent Pahalgam terror attack, the atmosphere between the two countries has increased. In this tweet, Swamy clearly expressed support for the separatist movements in Balochistan, Sindh and Pashtunistan.

With his comments, he supported the discontent and independence movements that have been going on in these regions for decades. In Balochistan, organizations like the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) are rebelling against the Pakistani government. However, there are strong feelings of independence in Sindh and Pashtunistan as well. By openly supporting these movements, Swamy can be said to have indicated the goal of promoting internal differences in Pakistan.

Based on this, it is felt that Swamy’s tweet is true. Subramanian Swamy has also made comments regarding the partition of Pakistan in the past. In 2018, he said in X that “Talks with Pakistan” “It is futile, the only solution is to divide it into four parts.”

Recently, in April 2025, he tweeted that Pakistan should be divided into Balochistan, Sindh, Pashtunistan and East Punjab, which would lead to Hindu-Muslim peace. These tweets reflect Swamy’s consistent ideology. Moreover, it seems that this is aimed at strengthening India’s security by weakening Pakistan.

On the other hand, Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant also recently said that Balochistan is likely to separate from Pakistan due to the independence movement. Similarly, BJP MP Nishikant Dubey expressed the opinion that Pakistan will be divided into Balochistan, Pashtunistan and Punjab by 2025. In the wake of recent terrorist attacks, this seems likely to happen even sooner.
