Pan-India icon Jr NTR is set to begin shoot for his next biggie, a high-octane action entertainer directed by blockbuster helmer Prashanth Neel of KGF and Salaar fame. The eagerly awaited schedule begins in Mangalore, Karnataka, where a scale-big action sequence will be the showstopper.
This big-budget film is being funded by Mythri Movie Makers in association with NTR Arts, and both NTR and Neel are said to be receiving hefty salaries—highlighting the scale and hype around the film.
In a significant development, industry-leader production and music label T-Series on board as a co-producer. T-Series will handle non-theatrical rights such as music, OTT and satellite and also make a financial contribution towards the production. The collaboration follows the existing relationship between Mythri Movie Makers and T-Series, who have already collaborated for hits in the past.
While the official title has not yet been announced, rumour in the industry has the film possibly being titled “Dragon.” And if plans go smoothly, the movie should reach the theatres in Summer 2026, with a gigantic release in a variety of languages.
With Jr NTR’s energetic screen presence, Prashanth Neel’s high-octane storytelling, and T-Series’ production clout, this as-yet-untitled movie is turning out to be one of the largest action blockbusters in Indian cinema.
