Yash Begins Shooting For Ramayana, Visits Ujjain Temple Ahead of Filming

KGF star Yash is all set to portray Raavana in the much-anticipated mythological film ‘Ramayana.’ Ahead of the shoot, he visited Shri Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga temple in Ujjain on Monday, continuing his tradition of seeking divine blessings before beginning new projects.

Ramayana, directed by Nitesh Tiwari, is one of the most highly anticipated projects from Bollywood, boasting a star-studded cast, including Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, and Yash in a powerful role as Raavana. As the film is about to begin soon, Yash visited the temple in Ujjain, Maharashtra, today. The actor was seen performing rituals at the temple with several priests. Videos from his temple visit are now doing rounds on the internet.

It is reported that Yash has recently completed a major schedule of Geetu Mohandas’s ‘Toxic’ and is now set to begin his solo sequences for Ramayana this week. Once completed, he is expected to return to filming.

The mythological epic will also star Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman, with other supporting roles by Ravi Dubey, Lara Dutta, Sheeba Chaddha, and Arun Govil. Yash is also backing this project under his banner Monster Mind Creations in a collaboration with Namit Malhota. Musical maestro AR Rahman is composing the film’s music. Ramayana will be released in two parts, with the first installment arriving on Diwali 2026 and the second slated for Diwali 2027.
