Actor Prudhvi Raj has voiced his disappointment over several scenes featuring him being removed from the final cuts of recent films, despite his dedicated performances.
Speaking at the success meet of Arjun S/O Vyjayanthi, Prudhvi expressed satisfaction that all his scenes were retained in the film. “As an artist, seeing my work preserved in its entirety gives me immense happiness,” he said, while thanking the film’s director and producers.
However, Prudhvi revealed that scenes featuring him were removed from a number of other recent projects. He stated that four to five of his scenes were edited out from the Ranbir Kapoor-starrer Animal. Similarly, portions of his performance were removed from Sankranthiki Vastunnam and Tandel.
He also mentioned that a crucial and personally significant scene from the film Jaat was cut, which left him disheartened. “It’s painful when scenes you’ve performed with such effort and emotion are left out of the final product,” he added.
Despite the commercial success of these films, Prudhvi’s remarks highlight the emotional impact such editorial decisions can have on artists who invest themselves deeply in their roles.
