Japanese giant Marubeni has come forward to invest in Telangana. It has expressed its readiness to set up a ‘Next Generation Industrial Park’ in Future City with an initial investment of Rs. 1000 crore. The Telangana Rising team led by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, who is on a tour of Japan, signed a key investment agreement on Thursday on the first day.
Representatives of Marubeni Company met CM Revanth Reddy in Tokyo. They discussed proposals and investments related to the establishment of the industrial park. Later, state government officials and company representatives signed a letter of intent in the presence of CM Revanth Reddy regarding the proposals to develop a world-class Next Generation Industrial Park in phases with an investment of Rs. 1000 crore on 600 acres of Future City.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister said that this is the first park to be set up here. He said that with the establishment of the Marubeni Company, about 30,000 direct and indirect job opportunities will be available in Telangana and livelihood will improve. He assured that there are suitable opportunities for business in Telangana and that Marubeni will have sufficient support from the government.
He said that Future City is developing as the first net zero city in the country and urged the high-level representatives of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) to develop Hyderabad city on par with international cities like New York and Tokyo, and that if they provide financial support to their government projects, they will achieve development beyond Tokyo city.
He appealed for financial assistance for the second phase of the Metro Rail project, Musi revitalization, radial roads connecting the Regional Ring Road to the Outer Ring Road, and other infrastructure projects undertaken by the state government.
CM Revanth Reddy’s team visited the Sony Corporation headquarters there on Thursday. They met the company’s animation subsidiary, Crunchyroll. The company’s representatives presented the new products being manufactured by Sony Corporation and the new programs being undertaken by it to the Telangana team.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister explained the opportunities and advantages of Hyderabad in the animation, VFI and gaming sectors. CM Revanth shared with them his future vision of establishing a state-of-the-art film city with end-to-end production capabilities.
