Arrangements are being made for about 5 lakh people to participate in the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s meeting on May 2 to restart the capital Amaravati works. Tents will be set up on 40 acres for those coming to the meeting.
Arrangements are being made to seat a total of 2.40 lakh people at the rate of 6,000 per acre. Farmers and women will stand on both sides from the helipad to the stage and welcome Prime Minister Modi by showering flowers.

The government has selected a public meeting venue behind the Secretariat. An SPG team is monitoring the security arrangements in the wake of the Prime Minister’s visit.
Chief Secretary K. Vijayanand conducted a review with officials on the PM’s visit. He said that 9 roads have been identified for VIPs and people to reach the meeting premises, and appropriate measures will be taken to ensure that there is no traffic problem anywhere on those roads.
Officials explained that arrangements are being made to ensure that a large number of people from the nearby districts of Krishna, Guntur, Eluru and Prakasam participate. In view of the summer, the Chief Secretary clarified that arrangements have to be made so that public representatives and the public, who are visiting the event, do not face any inconvenience.
On this occasion, elaborate arrangements are being made in a vast area of 250 acres behind the Secretariat. The main stage is being prepared to face the east. Waterproof tents will be erected without any problem even if it rains. Officials expect to complete the arrangements by the 28th of this month. 10 acres have been allocated for VIP parking and 28 acres for the stages.
Officials expect that 4 helipads are required for the Prime Minister and other dignitaries. There are three helipads used by the Chief Minister in front of the Secretariat. It has been decided to prepare another one in addition to these. It has been decided to prepare a fourth helipad in the farmers’ layout.
Officials have already inspected the helipads in front of the Secretariat and the meeting premises. The electric wires and trees blocking the road will be moved to another place. The surrounding capital roads will be temporarily prepared to avoid traffic problems.
