Former YSRCP Deputy CM’s Brother Ahmed Basha Arrested At Mumbai Airport, while Leaving For Kuwait

Sunday, April 20, 2025

Ahmed Basha, brother of YSRCP leader and former AP Deputy CM Amjad Basha, was arrested on Sunday. Ahmed Basha’s arrest at the Mumbai airport is creating a stir. Lookout notices have already been issued against Ahmed Basha. In this context, Ahmed Basha was arrested by immigration officials while trying to leave for Kuwait from the Bombay airport.

Later, Ahmed Basha was handed over to the Kadapa police. It is noteworthy that this arrest has been made in the wake of a series of cases being registered against those who targeted TDP leaders in the state of Andhra Pradesh and abused them with obscene language and those involved in several controversies.

Ahmed spoke obscenely to Kadapa TDP MLA Madhavi Reddy, TDP Polit Bureau members Srinivasula Reddy and his wife, and CM Chandrababu Naidu. In the past, he tried to attack Srinivasula Reddy at the police station itself. The police registered a case against Ahmed Bhasha on the complaint of Srinivasula Reddy.

A case was registered against him at the Kadapa police station for attacking a place in Vinayaka Nagar. He is likely to be produced in court on Monday. Meanwhile, another marriage has also become a headache for Amjad Basha with the arrest of his followers.

Amjad Basha’s follower Ibrahim Miah was subjected to physical abuse by women and handed over to Kadapa One Town police. A man named Maheshwar Reddy borrowed 50 lakhs from some women and did not repay it after more than 13 years, and the woman who gave the loan lodged a complaint.

With this, he said that he gave the money to a man named Ibrahim Miah. With this, the women caught Ibrahim Mia, cleaned him up and handed him over to the police. However, since Ibrahim Mia was a follower of Anjad Basha, he came to the police station and took his follower away.

When the women came to know about this, they went to Anjad Basha’s house and staged a dharna. They raised slogans against him on a large scale. With this, the police registered a case against the women on the complaint of Ibrahim Mia that the women had attacked him.

The women also complained about Ibrahim Mia that he spoke indecent words to them when he asked for money, and the police have also registered a case against him and are investigating.
