State Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha has finally broken her silence on the arrest of YSRCP leader and actor Posani Krishna Murali, making strong remarks that have sparked public discussion. Her reaction comes in the wake of reports suggesting that the police remand report hinted at a senior YSRCP leader orchestrating Posani’s controversial statements.
Anitha disclosed that 17 cases have been filed against Posani across the state, making it clear that his arrest was not politically motivated but based on legal evidence. She emphasized that the coalition government does not engage in political vendetta but maintained that anyone violating the law will face strict action.
While addressing the SI passing-out parade at Anantapur Police Training College, Anitha lashed out at the previous government’s leaders, stating that no one is above the law and those indulging in unlawful activities will not be spared. She further warned that inciting hatred and disturbing social harmony will not be tolerated.
Regarding Posani’s arrest, Anitha pointed out that his offensive remarks as a YSRCP leader led to legal action, questioning whether anyone in the state still supports his statements.
She also took aim at former MP Gorantla Madhav, accusing him of trying to create unnecessary conflicts instead of addressing the turmoil within his own party. Anitha cautioned that irresponsible statements will have consequences, reminding everyone that the current administration is a coalition government, not a YSRCP-led regime.
Responding to YSRCP’s criticism of the government’s “Red Book” policies, Anitha hit back, stating that if the coalition fully implemented the Red Book regulations, several YSRCP leaders wouldn’t even have the freedom to step out of their homes.
This bold response from the Home Minister has intensified the political debate, putting YSRCP on the defensive.
