The Annamayya district Railway Kodur court has remanded writer and film actor Posani Krishna Murali to 14 days. The police arrested him on Wednesday night in Hyderabad and took him to the Annamayya district, Obulavaripalli police station on Thursday morning.
After 8 hours of interrogation, the police conducted a medical examination of Posani and produced him before the Railway Kodur Junior Civil Judge’s court at 9.30 pm. The arguments continued for a long time until 5 am on Friday. Ponnavol Sudhakar Reddy presented arguments on behalf of Posani. He requested the Ponnavolu court to issue 41A notices to Posani and grant him bail as per the BNS Act.
Meanwhile, the police lawyer presented arguments to remand Posani. After hearing the arguments from both sides, the magistrate gave a verdict remanding Posani for 14 days. Posani will be remanded until March 12. It is reported that Posani is likely to be shifted to Kadapa Central Jail.
Before that, Posani was interrogated for 8 hours under the supervision of SP Vidyasagar Naidu. Two CIs, under the direction of the SP, bombarded him with questions. Why did abusive comments made against Chandrababu Naidu, Pawan Kalyan and Lokesh? Who told him to insult? Did someone write a script in advance? Who else was behind this insult?
Posani was reportedly asked many questions like this. In response to this, he said ‘Nobody instigated me. Nobody told me. I spoke on my own. It is learnt that Posani said that it was wrong to speak like that.’ When the SP asked 17 questions, it is reported that he given evasive responses to most of the questions stating that he did not know or did not remember.
During this time, when the videos of that time were shown, it was learned that he made inappropriate comments like ‘Love you Raja’. Meanwhile, the complainant, former Sarpanch of Chennarajupodu Mani, said that the case was filed against Posani because he spoke in a way that hurt the sentiments of the people and Jana Sena workers. He said that he also spoke indecent words about the mothers, wives and children of TDP and Jana Sena leaders.
