Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday and discussed for more than an hour on various development issues related to the state. Chief Minister Revanth asked the PM to provide funds for various ambitious projects initiated by his government in the state.
The Chief Minister urged the Prime Minister’s cooperation by providing sufficient funds for cleaning the Musi River and for the restoration of the tanks in the state. He has reportedly brought to the notice of the Prime Minister that there is no allocation for the state in the current budget either.
CM Revanth discussed five main issues with the Prime Minister. He gave a report to the Prime Minister on five issues related to the development of Telangana. He appealed to give Rs. 24,269 crores for RRR Ring Road and Hyderabad Metro Rail Ways. He also said that the main objective of the Musi project is to revive the 55-kilometer-long Musi river. He requested that Rs. 20,000 crores be given for the Musi project.
Revanth Reddy also told the Prime Minister that Telangana is short of 29 IPS officers. It was revealed to Modi that the state government has set a target to develop the Semiconductor Mission, Advance Semiconductor and Electronics Manufacturing Hub. He submitted a report to the Prime Minister on the pending projects in Telangana.
The Chief Minister also submitted details of the projects pending with the Center during the last 11 years of the Telangana formation. CM Revanth Reddy was accompanied by Minister Sridhar Babu and several senior officials for this meeting. After the meeting with the Prime Minister, CM Revanth Reddy is also likely to meet several Union Ministers.
He left for Delhi on Tuesday night after receiving the appointment information from the Prime Minister’s Office. Revanth Reddy, who met the Prime Minister in July last year, met him again after almost six months. Recently, Modi spoke to him on the phone about the SLBC accident. During his meeting, he explained to the Prime Minister about rescue operations.
