In an unexpected political turn, the Andhra Pradesh Fiber Net Chairman, GV Reddy, resigned from office. With this, he also resigned as a member of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) for personal reasons. This ends his tenure as AP Fibernet Chairman as well as that of being the national spokesperson for TDP.
In his letter of resignation, GV Reddy thanked the party leadership for their confidence and trust in him. He also clarified that he has no plans to join any other political party. Rather, he will concentrate on his legal career in the future.
Prior to revealing his resignation, GV Reddy lodged serious accusations against AP Fibernet MD Dinesh Kumar. He had charged him with discrimination towards the YSRCP-employed staff by disallowing removal of officials tied to the opposition. In addition, he alleged that a number of officers were making biased decisions that would work against the company while, secretly, standing by the competing party.
Against these charges, GV Reddy approached Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu. Two days ago, he had met him in the Secretariat and shared information about the current issues in AP Fibernet. Sources reveal that Chandrababu Naidu told him to sort out the internal conflicts and work towards building the organization. The problem was also entrusted to Minister Janardhan Reddy to be solved.
Yet, as any settlement remained to be realized, GV Reddy opted out of both the party membership as well as chairman’s job. The government of Andhra Pradesh has officially acknowledged his resignation, further shrouding the move in mystery.
With the unexpected departure of GV Reddy, there have been talks of possible leadership shifts and the fate of AP Fibernet. His exit has raised many eyebrows about the internal strife within the organization and its potential effects on the ruling party.
