Police Found Veeraraghav Reddy visited six Temples, Apart From Chilkur For Funds collection

Wednesday, April 16, 2025

During their three-day police custody, the police found that Veeraraghav Reddy, the main accused in the attack on Chilkuru temple chief priest Rangarajan, visited six major temples in Telugu states for funds collection. After three-day custody, they produced him in Rajendranagar Court on Friday and he was later taken to Chanchalguda Jail.

The investigation revealed that he collected funds for the establishment of Ram Rajya at several places by threatening. The Moinabad police have written to the bank for the bank statement related to Veeraraghav Reddy. The police have obtained details about when the donations were collected.

Currently, it has been found that Veeraraghav Reddy has only Rs. 20,000 in his bank account. A total of 20 people have been arrested and remanded in this case so far. While four others are absconding, the Moinabad police have launched a search operation for them.

Key points came to light during the three-day interrogation of Veeraraghava Reddy by the police. The police found that he had been pressured in many places to provide funds for the establishment of Rama Rajya. The police interrogated Veeraraghava Reddy by presenting him with bank statements.

They inquired about the areas in AP and Telangana where the money was collected. The cops also questioned him about when the donations were collected. The police suspect that he had withdrawn the entire amount of cash before his arrest.

It seems that Veeraraghava Reddy had set up a website and attracted many people in AP and Telangana. He had given orders to recruit them all in the name of Rama Rajya from the mandal level to the district level and collected money. As part of that, it is reported that the chief priest of Chilukuru Balaji temple was also attacked. After finding many things in custody, the police later produced Veeraraghava Reddy in the Rajendranagar court.
