Popular Singer Mangli has deplored that it is unfair to accuse her of belonging to a political party if she goes to a God’s event. Recently, she went to the Arasavalli temple with Union Minister Rammohan Naidu. This has caused dissatisfaction among the TDP cadre and on social media.

In an open letter, Mangli clarified that her song does not have a political color and that she is not associated with any political party. She expressed her concern that some people are spreading false propaganda against her on social media for political gain.

She expressed her anger stating that she is being spread falsely saying that she made inappropriate comments against Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. Mangli made it clear that it is untrue that she had never refused to sing a song for Chandrababu Naidu or TDP.

Mangli questioned whether it is fair to spread that she made inappropriate comments about a person who holds a special place in the country’s history. Making her point clear, she,  admitted that  when some leaders of the YSRCP approached her before the 2019 elections, she sang a song for them.

But at the same time, she clarified that she did not say a single word about anyone belonging to other parties during the election campaign. She asserted that “I am not a campaign worker for any party”. Mangli stated in the letter that she lost many opportunities and faced many insults because of singing a song for YSRCP.

She said that her song should be a festive song in every household but it should not be a party song. She clarified that she did not sing songs for any party in the 2024 elections. Mangli complained that they were spreading malicious propaganda against her with video clips in the 2019 elections for political gain.

Mangli explained that she has no political preferences or biases and that she is not a campaign worker for any party. Mangli revealed that as an artist, her song is more important than anything else. She said that she felt very lucky to perform a music event during the Arasavalli Rathasaptami celebrations in Srikakulam.

After it was successful, Mangli questioned how it would be wrong for Union Minister Rammohan Naidu and local MLA Gondu Shankar to respect and bless her as a child? Mangli expressed her concern that it was unfair to label her with a political party and accuse God’s program.
