Gannavaram TDP Office Attack Case Takes A Shocking Turn

Friday, December 5, 2025

A surprising twist in the controversial Gannavaram TDP office attack case is expected with former MLA and YSRCP leader Vallabhaneni Vamsi likely to receive major relief along with 88 others. The man was accused of leading the attack on the TDP office in Andhra Pradesh before the last elections. However, in a surprising turn of events at the tail-end of the case, the complainant did an about-turn and changed the course of the case.

Key Allegations and Developments
The case was about allegations that YSRCP leaders from Vijayawada, with the help of local cadres, attacked in coordination with the directions of Vallabhaneni Vamsi. A case was filed on a complaint from Satya Vardhan, an employee of the TDP office, which resulted in several charges, including SC/ST Act.

Complainant’s U-Turn Alters Case Outcome
In a dramatic development, Satya Vardhan has now retracted his complaint. Appearing before the special SC/ST court magistrate, he stated that he was forced to sign the complaint and that he had no direct involvement in the case. He also clarified that he was not present at the office during the attack. Furthermore, he requested police protection while formally withdrawing his allegations.

What’s Next?
Following this unexpected twist, the court is expected to deliver its final verdict today. Meanwhile, TDP leaders, who had anticipated Vallabhaneni Vamsi’s arrest under the coalition government, are now facing a significant setback. With the complainant retracting his statement, there is now a high possibility that Vamsi and the other 88 accused will be acquitted, marking a major blow to the TDP’s case.
