The eagerly awaited sequel to the blockbuster Ghajini, which became a hit across all languages, has captured the attention of movie enthusiasts. Producer Allu Aravind recently opened up about his thoughts on the sequel during the trailer launch event of the Hindi film Tandell in Mumbai, where Aamir Khan was the chief guest.
Aravind recalled a memorable moment during the making of Ghajini, when Aamir Khan challenged him, stating that the film would be the first to earn ₹100 crores. “We promoted the movie with that perspective in mind,” Aravind said, smiling. “As expected, Ghajini became the first Indian film to earn ₹100 crores at the box office. That ₹100 crores has now turned into ₹1000 crores. That’s why I would love to produce a film with Aamir Khan as the lead, one that earns ₹1000 crores. It could be Ghajini 2.”
The Tamil version of Ghajini, directed by A.R. Murugadoss and starring Suriya, was remade in Hindi with Aamir Khan in the lead. Suriya has already hinted at the possibility of Ghajini 2. Recent reports suggest that the sequel may feature Suriya in the Tamil version and Aamir Khan in the Hindi version, with both actors potentially playing cameo roles in each other’s films.
