AP High Court Ready To order Demolition of Sharada Peetham’s Illegal constructions In Tirumala!

The AP High Court has made strong comments against the illegal construction of the Sharada Peetham building in Tirumala. The high court has made it clear that constructions undertaken without permission cannot be ignored and cautioned that orders will be given for the demolition of the building structures.

“How can constructions be undertaken against the plan?”, the bench asked. The High Court said that this case should be an example of what happens if buildings are constructed without permission.

Tirumala KshetraTWO Rakshana Samiti president and lawyer Tumma Omkar filed a PIL in the High Court alleging that TTD has not taken any action against the illegal constructions being undertaken by Visakhapatnam’s Sharada Peetham in Tirumala.

Earlier, the High Court had heard this petition and ordered a halt to the construction work. Now, the petitioner’s lawyer told the High Court that the TTD board had passed a resolution seizing the Sharada Peetham building.

Later, the lawyer for the Sharada Peetham requested to be given time to file a counter. The High Court adjourned the further hearing, allowing it. The petitioner Omkar alleged that the Visakha Sharada Peetham was involved in land grabbing in Tirumala with the support of the previous YSRCP government.

He criticized that the previous TTD Board of Trustees had regularized the illegal structures of the Sharada Peetham against the rules. He lamented that he had complained to EO Dharma Reddy in the past that illegal constructions were done in the occupied area, but no action was taken.

He said that the High Court had issued interim orders during the previous government to immediately stop the illegal structures, but the government had not taken any action. He said that after the coalition government came to power, they approached the High Court over the old structures.

Omkar said that though in the first meeting of the TTD Board of Trustees, chaired by Chairman BR Naidu, it made it clear that it can not tolerate illegal structure of the Visakhapatnam Sharada Peetham and that the land would be taken back, but no action was taken.
