Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy said that Telangana aspires to compete with the world in terms of development, while maintaining a friendly competition with the border states.
Speaking at a round table meeting on the topic of ‘Country Strategic Dialogue’ held at the World Economic Forum in Davos on Wednesday, he said that he is happy to share the same platform with AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis.
He said that achieving development together with the border states is his first priority. He said that Telangana is competing with the world as its capital and his goal is to develop to the level of cities like New York and Tokyo. Revanth praised the way Chandrababu Naidu and YS Rajasekhara Reddy, as the Chief Ministers of the United AP state, have developed the state and Hyderabad as extraordinary.
He said that Telangana is currently competing with world-class cities, cities like Tokyo and Singapore, besides participating in the Indian Prime Minister’s goal of developing the country into a five trillion dollar economy. He said that the Telangana government is moving forward with concrete plans to become a trillion dollar economy.
The Chief Minister said that the goal is to achieve development in three regions. He said that there are IT and pharma sectors in the urban area within the ORR, and if the 360-kilometer regional ring road from the second part of the ORR is completed, 65 kims will become the Telangana urban area.
He said that urbanization is key to improving the economy and that he intends to promote cold storage, organic food products, meat, chicken and fish exports and agro-allied industries in the rural areas up to the Telangana border. He said that the Davos trip was useful to know how the world is progressing, and at the same time, he is working to attract investments to Telangana.
Revanth Reddy said that along with Hyderabad, the youth of the state are their biggest strength. He said that their policies regarding politics and development will be stable during the elections.
