It has now become interesting that Nara Brahmani is also present at Davos along with her father-in-law and Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and husband- Minister Nara Lokesh, attending the World Economic Forum’s summit. It may be her first presence along with an official delegation on a foreign land.
It is interesting that Nara Brahmani, who is an industrialist, is also in this team. She may have gone on this trip at her own expense, regardless of being part of the government team. But there is a discussion going on in the government circles that Nara Brahmani, an industrialist, is not going to send a good signal to the people.
It may be recalled that former Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy’s most of official foreign visits dubbed by TDP were intended to propose his business or financial matters, more than getting investments for the state. It is known that Nara Brahmani is the Executive Director (ED) of Heritage Foods.
However, the government seems to be trying to keep Davos’ visit at a low profile. Meanwhile, presence of Chief Ministers of two Telugu states – Chandrababu Naidu and Revanth Reddy together at Davos also raising interests. Both of them met soon after they reached Zurich airport and exchanged greetings.
Now, everyone one eagerly waiting to see among the two of them, who can secure more investment proposals for their respective state at Davos. It became a topic of interest.
Even though Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has less administrative experience, he can boost many of the positive aspects of Telangana to lure investments. One of these is the world-class infrastructure in Hyderabad, the available land bank, skilled human resources and wide-ranging air connectivity are very crucial.
The facilities that have already been developed in many fields can also be said to be positive aspects for Telangana. When it comes to Andhra Pradesh, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s experience in marketing policies should be said to be key.
Chandrababu has earlier participated in Davos conferences many times in the past. Andhra Pradesh also has no shortage of land banks. Compared to Telangana, its positive aspect can be said to be the vast sea coast and ports.
Whatever the positive aspects of any state, investors mainly look at the industrial policies of those states. The subsidies and incentives provided by the respective governments are also very important.
