The Manchu family is back in the news following serious allegations surrounding Mohan Babu University, drawing the attention of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu.
A formal complaint has been filed by the Private Hostels Association near the university, raising concerns over alleged coercive practices. The association claims that Mohan Babu University has hired bouncers to intimidate students living in private hostels, pressuring them to vacate their accommodations and move into university-run hostels.
Financial Coercion and Threats to Students
The complaint further accuses the university of forcing students to pay a ₹20,000 lunch fee, with the threat of withholding examination hall tickets for those who opt to stay in private hostels. The Private Hostels Association has requested immediate action against the university and demanded that these practices be stopped.

This new controversy adds to the ongoing challenges faced by the Manchu family, already dealing with internal issues that have affected their public reputation. Recently, Manchu Manoj, a member of the family, met with several students in support of the issue and also held discussions with Chandrababu Naidu and Nara Lokesh before taking further steps to address the situation at the university.
