Sunday, January 19, 2025
Director Gautham Menon recently sparked discussions with his comments about his 2019 Tamil film Enai Noki Paayum Thota, released in Telugu as Toota. When asked about the movie during a promotional interview, Menon stated, “What film are you talking about? I’ve forgotten about it. I don’t remember anything about it except for one song. It’s not my movie. It could have been someone else’s.”
His comments have led to speculation among netizens about the reasons behind his remarks. The action-thriller was initially released in two parts, with reports suggesting that the second part was rushed to meet the announced release date. Some also speculated that actor Dhanush had stepped in to direct parts of the film. Menon’s latest comments seem to support these earlier claims.
Along with discussing Enai Noki Paayum Thota, Menon provided insights into his upcoming project, Dominic, which stars Mammootty. He explained that the film was created to offer audiences a unique cinematic experience.
On his acting career, Menon shared, “I never wanted to be in front of the camera. I didn’t like it at all. But due to unavoidable circumstances, I became an actor. I have a good relationship with certain directors and producers, and when they offered me roles in their projects, I couldn’t say no. That’s why I continue acting.”
