Reacting strongly to the arrest of Huzurabad BRS MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy by the Karimnagar police, BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao criticized the move, calling it an act of injustice. He condemned the arrest as a ruthless action and accused the Revanth Reddy government of routinely filing false cases and making wrongful arrests.
KTR pointed out that protecting MLAs who defected to their party while arresting Kaushik Reddy is undemocratic. He asserted that the BRS party, which thrives on fighting for people’s causes, cannot be weakened by such petty actions. He demanded the unconditional release of Kaushik Reddy immediately.
It is known that Kaushik Reddy had a heated altercation with Jagtial MLA Sanjay during a review meeting chaired by ministers at the Karimnagar District Collector’s office yesterday. Following Sanjay’s complaint, the Karimnagar police registered a case and took Kaushik Reddy into custody in Hyderabad today.
