Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu announced that the state will receive Rs 10 lakh crore investments in green energy. He said that green hydrogen will be produced in Pudimadaka, Anakapalle district. He also said that solar, wind and pumped storage electricity generated in other areas will be brought to Pudimadaka and hydrogen will be produced through them.

He explained that fertilizers and chemicals will be produced with this. He said that there is a good demand for these products made from green energy abroad and it will boost exports. The CM said that using hydrogen for aluminum and steel production will reduce heat significantly.

“If the carbon dioxide produced by burning coal in NTPC is brought to Pudimadaka and used for hydrogen production, pollution will be reduced. Green Co Company will take over Nagarjuna Fertilizers in Kakinada and produce green ammonia and export it abroad. An investment of Rs. 25,000 crore is being made on this plant. Exports will be made through Kakinada port”, he added.

CM Chadnrababu said that “Reliance Company is setting up 500 centers for the production of bio-compressed gas. An investment of Rs. 130 crore is being made on each center. This is made from grass that can be used for biogas. Reliance pays Rs. 30,000 per acre to tenant farmers to grow this grass. These centers will create jobs and the waste generated in gas production will also be used as fertilizer to increase soil fertility”.

Chandrababu said that a company from Bangalore has brought the swapping batteries model to Kuppam. He said that the house owner will be paid money to charge the swapping batteries of the houses where Suryagarh is in effect in Kuppam. He revealed that this will be an additional income for the residents of Kuppam Suryagarh.

Similarly, Chandrababu explained that new ideas are being developed on solar power generation. He said that solar panels are currently being installed free of cost for SCs and STs. He said that the central subsidy will be used to provide these to the rest of the people and the state government will install the remaining panels.

He said that some amount of electricity will be withdrawn until the government investment is returned. Once the government investment is returned, the entire unit will be handed over to the homeowner, he added.
