In continuation of its renaming schemes named after the former chief minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy and his father YS Rajasekhar Reddy, coalition government has now decided to change the name of houses built as `Jagananna Colonies’ during Jagan government’s tenure, as part of the Navaratnalu.
Chandrababu Naiud-led government has now renamed Friday as PMAY – NTR Nagar. Special Chief Secretary to the government Ajay Jain issued orders to this effect. YCP chief YS Jagan won the 2019 elections with a huge majority. With this, the YS Jagan government reached its peak. In that order, many schemes in the state were named after YS Jagan.
Also, many institutions that had existed for decades were removed and named after YSR. Criticism also poured in on this. Along with the land survey, CM YS Jagan’s picture was also printed on the pass books of the survey of the fields. Similarly, CM YS Jagan’s pictures were also printed on the boundary stones in the fields.
Actually, with the division of the state, Andhra Pradesh became a state without income. In such a state, the question of why such unnecessary expenses arose everywhere was raised. But the wasteful spending did not stop. Similarly, YSRCP painted all the schools in the state.
Thousands of crores of rupees of public money were spent like water for this. Even though the government did not have funds, they borrowed and spent crores of rupees on such expenses. Moreover, the Jagan government focused on welfare.
With this, no steps were taken for the development of the state. As a result, there is no employment for the youth in the state. The roads have become chaotic. Not a single industry has come to the state. And the industries in the state have also left AP.
At such a time, in 2024, the alliance won the vote. With this, the alliance government led by Chandrababu Naidu has reached its limit. In these six months, this government has reconsidered many decisions taken by the previous government. As part of that, the name of Jagananna Colony was changed to PMAY – NTR Nagar.
