The Pulivendula MLA and the YSRCP chief Y S Jagan seem to be in the damage reversal mode from the last few weeks.
Jagan has been introspecting the biggest drawbacks of the party in the Rayalaseema constituency. Earlier, YSRCP won all 10 assembly segments in Kadapa in 2019 but in 2024, the party has been confined to only 2 seats in 2024 general elections. This has come as a big shock to Jagan. Even the die-hard loyalists of YSRCP have been shocked by the result in Rayalaseema.
Jagan seems to have put in special focus on this region and tried to own the people by projecting himself as the son of Kadapa land. Interacting with the locals yesterday, Jagan reminded the people that he traveled with his father in Kadapa, and with the love and support of the people, he has won as a Member of the Parliament. He later went on to say that if Jagan has become the CM, that means a Kadapa boy has become a CM. Jagan seems to be working on moving close to the localities.
