The construction of the crucial Kotipalli- Narsapur railway line in AP is accelerating. This new railway line has been a 60-year dream of the people of the area. Now, there has been a movement in the work again. As part of the railway line work, work on removing coconut trees began near Sanapalli Lanka on Tuesday.
The removed trees and bushes are being moved from there from time to time with tractors. As part of this new railway line, the construction of pillars in the Godavari River was completed three years ago. But after that, the work did not progress. After the coalition government came to power, the MPs requested the Railway Minister about this railway line.
Work has moved to this extent. Another pillar is to be built next to the canal near Sanapalli Lanka. Also, trees and other structures are being removed on both sides of the new line up to the boundary identified by the railway authorities.
On the other hand, some locals have submitted petitions to the Amalapuram Collectorate regarding the new railway line between Kotipalli and Narsapuram. They have expressed their concern over the proposal for a new railway line, which was proposed 18 years ago.
The locals have expressed their concern that the Kotipalli-Narsapur new railway line proposals may affect the Chindadamadugu, which provides drinking water to the people in their 13 villages. They say that they have already lost land for the bypass road. Now, if land is acquired again for the railway line, they will lose money.
They say that the loose soil in the area of this freshwater project will not allow the railway line to be laid. The locals and farmers are demanding that the authorities respond immediately to this issue and restore the old railway line. Overall, the locals are happy with the momentum of the Kotipalli- Narsapur new rail line work. They want the work to be completed despite minor hurdles.
