The senior leader of YSR Congress Party and former minister, Ambati Rambabu, has issued a very sharp criticism to the TDP for sharing objectionable content through its official X handle. It raised concerns regarding the poisonous posts and sought redress from the police. It failed to receive any response from the police and instead, sought a solution from the High Court.
Rambabu complained that the TDP had uploaded defamatory material against YSR Congress Party president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy and others. Though he lodged several complaints with the police, nothing happened. He approached the court seeking relief.
In his High Court petition, Rambabu has demanded that cases be filed against the responsible persons for posting such indecent content on TDP’s X account. He termed the post as insulting and damaging the reputation and personal dignity of Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Another accusation against him was that false propaganda was being done against him and his family. He stressed that, though he lodged written complaints with the police station, no cases were registered so he was frustrated and alarmed about the inaction on their part.
Rambabu accused the authorities of not being fair while handling complaints and taking an unprejudiced stand on the case. He sought that the High Court ensure police acts without delay and is unbiased on the issue. Besides, he also raised an objection towards the delay and expressed the requirement of transparency in taking the issue forward in a free-fair manner.
