It is just a matter of time for Deputy Chief Minister and Janasena president Pawan Kalyan’s brother Konidela Nagababu to enter the cabinet Andhra Pradesh. Despite getting mixed reactions on this appointment, the NDA government led by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has reportedly decided to go ahead with the decision to induct Nagababu into the cabinet based on the recommendation of Pawan Kalyan.
While it clear that Nagababu will first be taken into the cabinet and then bestowed an MLC post in the next six months, the dilemma over the allocation of his portfolio continues as there is no official confirmation so far. Reports suggest that both Naidu and Pawan formally met on Monday to discuss about Nagababu’s role in the cabinet. It is believed that Pawan Kalyan suggested Naidu about the same and the latter has also given consent to the former in this regard.
As per reliable sources, Nagababu will be handed over Cinematography and Tourism Ministry which is currently held by Janasena Minister Kandula Durgesh. In order to facilitate this change, Durgesh will need to allotted any other portfolios from the existing Janasena ministers. So, Pawan has reportedly decided to sacrifice for his brother Nagababu.
It is heard that Pawan Kalyan has proposed to tranfer either Panchayati Raj and Rural Development or Forest and Environment ministries to Durgesh in order to accommodate Nagababu into the cabinet as all portfolios have already been allotted to all 24 Ministers. Chandrababu Naidu is also said to have agreed to this proposal and gave necessary directions in this matter.
During Monday’s meeting, both Pawan Kalyan and Chandrababu have reportedly held a brief discussion about this agenda and finalised the portfolios for Nagababu. Very soon, he is like to be sworn in and inducted into the cabinet.
