What is happening in Telangana Congress is creating confusion among party leaders. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, who was in Delhi for three days, failed to get an appointment with party supreme leader Rahul Gandhi. But, even before his visit his deputy chief minister Bhatti Vikramarka was in Delhi and able to meet Rahul.
Surprisingly, Vikramarka told the media that he was unable to meet Rahul and returned to Hyderabad even before Chief Minister’s arrival. Congress sources indicate that he was summoned by the party leadership to brief about one year performance of the Congress government in the state.
Even before Bhatti reached Delhi, Seethakka was also able to meet Rahul Gandhi in Delhi. For the last six to seven months, Revanth Reddy was said to be unable to have a personnel meeting with Rahul Gandhi, besides his repeated attempts. Rahul Gandhi said Telangana government’s prominence to multi-national businessmen, against whom the Congress party is fighting at national level.
According to sources, Rahul Gandhi inquired Bhatti about what was happening in Future City and why the controversial group was involved there? He also asked about who had proposed setting up a cement factory in Nalgonda district, why they were stubbornly moving forward despite the public uprising, and what actually happened in the Davos meeting?
On the other hand, the CMO sources are leaking to the media that CM Revanth Reddy went to Delhi for the 28th time seeking funds from the Center for the state. Even pro-Congress media highlighted the fact that the CM went on a Delhi tour to receive funds. Gandhi Bhavan sources are discussing that if it is really for the sake of funds, Bhatti Vikramarka, as the state finance minister, should also go with the CM, and what will be the issue of raising funds without a finance minister? All these leading to some excitement in the Congress party about what is going on.
