The coalition government, which is completing its six-month rule in AP, has announced that it will give Christmas gifts. In the past, when the TDP government was in power, they used to give festive items to different religions as gifts according to their religions and will now once again provide Christmas gifts with the TDP-led NDA government coming to power in the state.
Social Welfare Minister Dola Bala Veeranjaneyaswamy announced that all SC welfare schemes in the state will be provided to the deserving ones and all SC welfare schemes neglected by the previous government will be revived. He said that he is very happy that the community halls started with SC sub-plan funds within five months of coming to power have been completed with general funds.
He said that the previous government neglected to complete the committee halls and incomplete community halls across the state will be completed quickly. He said that the Ambedkar Foreign Education Blessing Scheme will also be revived. He said that new government welfare hostels will be built in the state with Rs. 340 crores and loans will be provided through the SC Corporation in December and January itself.
The Minister said that the previous government had neglected to provide funds by dividing the SC Corporation into three parts, but they will provide funds to Lidcap and provide loans. He said that valuable lands in Autonagar were alienated and they will be developed there in the PPP model.
He said that Rs. 140 crores have been allocated for the repair of hostels across the state. He said that during this five-month rule, corporate medical treatment has been provided to hostel students and steps have been taken to protect their health.
The Minister said that a place was allotted for a 125-foot Ambedkar statue in Amaravati, as the previous government changed the place and installed the statue in the Vijayawada Swaraj Maidan. He said that the incomplete halls and other works related to the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar project will be completed. He said that Rs. 42 lakhs have been allocated for the repair of hostels in Vijayawada city.
