Macho Star Gopichand, after a spate of box office failures, is looking forward to a new cinematic experience with a bright project. Though Bheema did not generate much heat, Viswam never really left a mark on audiences, and the next one would be pretty crucial for him in career terms.
Gopichand was apparently in discussions with Radha Krishna Kumar, who had directed the project Radhe Shyam under UV Creations. However, it was kept on an indefinite hold after the production house decided to go out. Now, Gopichand has turned wheels and teamed up with director Sankalp Reddy, who made his debut with Ghazi, which won him the National Award.
Sankalp has written a gripping script on a very real and impressive true-life incident that has appealed to Gopichand. The film, being produced by Srinivasaa Chitturi, is under pre-production currently and is slated to go on floors next year.
For Gopichand, this project forms a golden opportunity to win back his position as a driving force in Tollywood. For Sankalp Reddy, it forms an opportunity to regain momentum in the wake of mixed reviews to his previous ventures – Anthariksham and IB-71.
The film’s collaboration is being heavily talked about, as its different storyline is going to deliver something new in the movie world. With Gopichand and Sankalp aiming for a grand comeback, this film could turn out to be their respective career-defining film.
