The Revanth Reddy-led Congress government in the state is organizing mega celebrations in the name of `Prajapalana Vijayotsavam’ to mark the completion of one year of government. It is boasting that it has achieved amazing progress in its one-year rule.

CM Revanth Reddy has earlier announced that Delhi elders will be invited as guests for the celebrations. He said that top leader Sonia Gandhi will come to the closing ceremony and she will unveil the statue of Telangana Thalli herself. But there is a discussion in political circles that the entire event organized by CM Revanth Reddy has been botched.

It is known that none of the high-ranking leaders from the Congress high-command are coming to the celebrations. It is reported that Sonia, Rahul and Priyanka have made it clear that they will not attend the celebrations. As per speculations in the political circles, they cautioned the Chief Minister and other state Congress leaders not to come to Delhi even to extend an invitation.

Before the elections and for some time after, when CM Revanth Reddy and other leaders went to Delhi, they used to meet top leaders in Delhi frequently. But for the past few months, there has been talk in Congress circles that the situation has completely changed.

Except for meeting top leaders during the review of elections in other states, in Parliament, or at any function, it has been a long time since Revanth Reddy met with top leaders individually. It was alleged that Rahul and Priyanka are deeply dissatisfied with the governance in the state.

It is reported that top leaders are of the opinion that the government has failed to implement the six guarantees and waive off loans as promised. Senior leaders in the Congress say that the opposition among the people due to cuts in schemes has also been received by the leadership in the form of reports.

It is reported that the leadership is of the opinion that the people did not believe in the Maharashtra elections due to the blunder in Telangana, and that Revanth Reddy’s rule was also a reason for the defeat there.

The Party high command, which was unhappy with the way Revanth Reddy was ruling, has now reportedly expressed further anger over the change of the statue of Telangana Thalli. It is learnt that the Congress high command, which inquired about the government’s decision and the public’s response, is angry at the government’s approach.
