APCC President YS Sharmila said that she will file a complaint with the ACB against former Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy seeking a probe in the Adani bribery case. She demanded that the Chandrababu Naidu government immediately cancel the agreement made with Adani.
She questioned why Chandrababu is taking a step back from canceling the original deal. “A case has been registered in the American courts on this issue. Despite all this, the coalition government has not taken any action. Chandrababu is not even mentioning Adani’s name. What is the difference between Jagan and Chandrababu?”, she wondered.
Strongly rejecting Jagan’s claim that his name was not there in the US case, Sharmila asked then, isn’t Jagan the Chief Minister? She alleged that the Adani power has been a burden for the state for 25 years. If it is being sold at 1.99 paise in neighboring states… Why did you buy a box of 2.49 paise here?, she asked.
She recalled that when the TDP was in the opposition, it raised concerns that the Adani deal was a big scam. Cases were also filed in the High Court. Payyavula Keshav has alleged that large-scale bribes were received.
“You are now in power. Why are you not taking action on this matter? Why are you silent despite all the evidence?”, she asked. Sharmila wondered if the Chief Minister fears about Adani’s clout at the Center?
Sharmila also asked the coalition government where is their Super Six, even after six months of forming the government? She recalled that by the time the Super Six announcement was made, the previous CM Jagan had incurred a debt of Rs 8 lakh crore and Chandrababu was aware of this fact.
“He said Rs 20,000 \financial assistance to farmers. He said jobs for 20 lakh people.. I don’t know when they will be given. When will they be provided for 20 lakh jobs.. There is no such thing as a time bond”, she added. She also lamented that till now there is no free bus travel to women.
