The matter originated from Pawan Kalyan’s recent inspection of Kakinada Port, where he uncovered illegal transportation of ration rice. During the session, Pawan Kalyan requested the government to take immediate action to curb the illegal export of rice through Kakinada Port. Rebutting these allegations, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu said that a CID inquiry would be initiated. He further detailed the focus of the inquiry, which would cover the illegal rice trade, changes in port management under the previous YSRCP government, instances of intimidation, and related activities.
