Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) is ready to put a stop to the attempts of illegals to obtain Tirumala Srivari Seva tickets and accommodation rooms with fake identity cards. For this, Aadhaar will be linked to various services in TTD.
As TTD does not have a system to verify whether the identity cards submitted by devotees online or offline for various services are genuine or not, irregularities are taking place. After the formation of the NDA coalition government, TTD EO Shyamala Rao reviewed online and offline bookings. It was found that large-scale irregularities were committed by plugging the loopholes in the IT department.
It was decided to put a stop to these through the facial recognition system as well as Aadhaar standards. Representatives of UIDAI met with TTD officials and discussed at length the issue of linking Aadhaar to services. They believed that there is a possibility of using services as per the Aadhaar Act-2016.
For this, a registration fee of 20 lakhs TTD will have to be paid for two years. 40 paise for each Aadhaar identification and 3 rupees 40 paise for eKYC. Recently, the TTD Governing Council also gave its approval to use Aadhaar services. If the state government issues a notification, TTD will have the opportunity to use Aadhaar services.
For the convenience of devotees, TTD has released the ticket quota for Srivari Arjitha Seva such as Kalyanotsavam, Oonjal Seva, Arjitha Brahmotsavam, and Sahasra Deepalankara Seva for February 2025 online.
On the 23rd of this month, Anga Pradakshinam quota at 10 am, Srivani Trust Break Darshan quota at 11 am, and special entry darshan token quota for the elderly, chronically ill, and disabled at 3 pm was released online.
