Hydra Commissioner Ranganath Denies Claims of Residence In Buffer Zone

Monday, November 25, 2024

Hydra Commissioner Ranganath has refuted social media allegations that his residence in Madhuranagar falls within a designated buffer zone. The claims surfaced amid Hydra’s ongoing demolition drive targeting illegal constructions in buffer zones without exceptions.

Commissioner Ranganath clarified that the reports are baseless, stating, “Our house was constructed 44 years ago by my father, APV Subbaiah, and has been our family home since then. The misinformation being spread is aimed at misleading the public.”

He explained that the once-existing large pond in the area was converted into Krishna Kanth Park 25 years ago. “Thousands of houses now exist between Krishna Kanth Park and our residence. A property qualifies as being in the buffer zone only if it lies within 10 meters of the tank bund. Our house is approximately a kilometer away,” he asserted.

Ranganath further noted that traditionally, temples like Katta Maisamma are built near tank bunds, with the nearest temple to his house being about a kilometer away. To support his claims, he released photographs of the area, urging the public to review the evidence and dismiss the allegations.

“The truth is that our residence is not in a buffer zone, and I request everyone to recognize the facts,” Ranganath concluded.
