YSR District Police have issued 41-A notices to Sajjala Bhargav Reddy and Jaganmohan Reddy’s relative Arjun Reddy of Pulivendula, based on the statement given by YSRCP activist Varra Ravinder Reddy in the case of obscene posts on social media. They have been asked to appear for questioning on Monday.
Along with them, notices have also been issued to some other YSRCP social media activists to appear for questioning. The names of Varra Ravinder Reddy as A1, Sajjala Bhargav Reddy as A2, and A3 Arjun Reddy have been included in this case registered on November 8th. Ravinder Reddy has already been arrested and sent to Kadapa Jail on remand.
In the latest case, 41-A notices were issued to A2 Sajjala Bhargava Reddy. The police who went to Vijayawada handed over notices to Sajjala Bhargava’s mother as he was not available at home. Lookout notices have already been issued against them on suspicion that they will flee abroad.
Recently, with the intention of questioning the two, they went to their homes and came home with notices as they were not available. According to the statement given by Varra Ravinder Reddy during the police interrogation, the police believe that Sajjala Bhargava Reddy, who is taking state-level responsibilities in posting obscene posts on social media, is a key person.
As a case has been registered against him at the Pulivendula police station, they are also planning to question and arrest him. As part of that, notices were served on Arjun Reddy, who is a state-level social media leader. Ravinder Reddy stated in his statement that indecent posts against opponents increased after Bhargav Reddy took charge of YSRCP social media in 2022.
Along with them, the police believe that Bhargav Reddy played a key role in Ravinder Reddy posting indecent posts against Sunitha and Sharmila Vijayamma. YS Sharmila, who recently came to Kadapa, also questioned why Bhargav Reddy was not arrested.
Cases were registered against these three under the IT, BNS and Atrocity Act registered on the 8th of this month. Ten cases have been registered against Varra Ravinder Reddy in the district and 40 cases across the state. Along with these, the police have named 45 more people as accused in the remand report.
