Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan said that he is receiving many complaints about encroachment of government lands under the jurisdiction of the Revenue, Panchayat and Endowment departments as well as incidents of forced land acquisition. He said that the police department should take immediate action as soon as such complaints are received from the victims and the relevant departments.
Pawan Kalyan in a post to this effect on Twitter (X), said that a significant number of the complaints he received were from Kakinada as well as other parts of AP. He asked the collectors of all districts and the Kakinada police to take immediate action. He asked the collectors and SPs to prioritize these reports and take strict action.
Pawan Kalyan made it clear that his NDA alliance will comprehensively change the four-decade-old framework of government administration. He said that it is as part of this that Andhra Pradesh has brought the Land Grabbing (Prohibition) Act.
He said that this new law will include strict penalties, compensation for victims, protection of government lands, establishment of special courts, preventive measures, better land records, title verification, and an effective grievance redressal process. Pawan Kalyan said that his NDA government is committed to protecting lands, providing justice to victims, and protecting state resources by holding criminals accountable.
Meanwhile, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan alleged that the YSRCP government has not only disrupted all systems but also corrupted the National Employment Guarantee Scheme. He said that during the recent review, many irregularities were found in the implementation of this scheme, and he said that a thorough investigation will be conducted and action will be taken against those responsible.
He said that 100 days of employment are being provided to each family in rural areas under the Employment Guarantee Scheme. He said that job cards are being provided to newly registered names within 15 days. He said that after the coalition government came to power in the state, 30,000 development works were done with Rs. 4,500 crore and 7 crore work days were provided.
He said that under the ‘Palle Pandanga’ program, 3,000 kilometers of CC roads, 500 kilometers of BT roads, 20,000 mini Gokulam sheds, and water harvesting work has been undertaken at necessary places, and that he is moving forward with a strong determination to complete all these works before the next Sankranti.
