AP Congress President YS Sharmila said that while Gautam Adani has brought dishonor to the country, former chief minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy has brought dishonor to Andhra Pradesh. She expressed concern that the US agencies investigation has clearly revealed that industrialist Gautam Adani gave a bribe of Rs 1,750 crore to YS Jagan.
She recalled that the American agencies revealed that they had filed cases because they had evidence. She said that if Gautam Adani was investigated, this matter would have been revealed and it is clear that Rs 1,750 crore was given as bribe to Jagan.
Sharmila, who said that she did not know about the matter until the American agencies revealed it, lashed out at Gautam Adani and YS Jagan and said they have tarnished the reputation of India and also the state. She deplored that the alleged bribe taken by Jagan from Adani group was burdened to the people of AP only.
Sharmila questioned whether this was not a hostage situation for the people of Andhra Pradesh? She said that the 20-year agreement would cost the people of the state Rs. 1 lakh crore, and that the agreement was made at a higher price in AP than it was for Rs. 1.99 per year for other states.
She revealed that this was not the only one and that many agreements had been made with the Adani group during the previous regime. She recalled that lands were tied up for the Krishnapatnam Port and Data Center.
Sharmila questioned how much bribery was involved in the agreements with Adani? She questioned how much bribery was involved in beach sand mining and submarines? Sharmila demanded that the power project agreements with Adani be cancelled.
Asking Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu to take these allegations very seriously, she demanded a review of all the agreements signed with Adani Group. She said that the Congress’ demand is to blacklist Gautam Adani and cancel the power agreements. Sharmila questioned what the ED and other central investigative agencies are doing in the lights of these developments?
