The upcoming collaboration between Tollywood superstar Mahesh Babu and celebrated director Rajamouli for SSMB 29 has generated significant buzz. Set against the backdrop of the Amazon forests, the film is rumored to have a staggering budget exceeding ₹1,000 crore and is expected to feature Hollywood actors, raising the stakes for what is already a highly anticipated project.
Actor Rana Daggubati recently shared his thoughts on the film, expressing hope for its global impact. “I sincerely wish for SSMB 29 to have a Hollywood-style release in the U.S. I am confident it will happen, and the film will overcome all obstacles to reach that scale,” he said during an interview.
Rana also reflected on the evolving perception of Indian cinema internationally, noting that global audiences previously associated Indian films mostly with Hindi cinema. “Now, people are discussing films from other languages too,” he said. Highlighting the role of OTT platforms, he emphasized that language barriers have diminished, and audiences are open to exploring not just large-scale productions but also independent films rooted in local stories.
With SSMB 29 already stirring excitement, Rana’s comments add to the growing anticipation surrounding this monumental project.
