Victory Venkatesh is coming up with a crime-action entertainer for this Sankranthi, with ‘Sankranthi Ki Vasthunam’, joining the Pongal box office race. Directed by Anil Ravipudi, this film marks the third collaboration between Anil and Venkatesh.
As revealed earlier by the makers and hinted at by the title, Sankranthi Ki Vasthunam is slated for a worldwide release during Sankranthi. The film team has now officially announced the exact release date today, revealing that the movie will hit theaters on January 14, 2025, right on Sankranthi.
The announcement came with an interesting reveal, showcasing the lead cast in their outfits from the film. Venkatesh donned the event in a black shirt and white dhoti, where Aishwarya Rajesh looked stunning in a blue saree and Meenakshi Chaudhary turned heads in a police uniform.
Unlike his previous films, Anil Ravipudi explores a new genre with this project, which is touted to be a crime thriller with Venkatesh Daggubati taking on the role of an ex-cop, with Aishwarya Rajesh as his excellent wife and Meenakshi Chaudhary playing his ex-girlfriend.
Produced by Sirish under the prestigious banner Sri Venkateswara Creations and presented by Dil Raju, the film aims for a hattrick success for the Venky-Anil duo. Ceciroleo Bheems composed the musical tunes, and recently one of the songs was sung by Ramana Gogula, which is expected to release soon.
