Deputy chief minister Pawan Kalyan, in another significant development, recently addressed the Andhra Pradesh Assembly and reflected on the tenure of 150 days of the coalition government. He said he is completely committed towards the vision of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and would work together with unity of purpose to meet the developmental goals of the state. Also, while using this opportunity, he clarified issues faced during the YSRCP rule and contrasted the positive stride that has been made by the current government.
After Chief Minister Naidu provided an overview of the coalition government’s achievements over the past 150 days, Pawan Kalyan pointed out the previous administration’s failures. He criticized the YSRCP for undermining key institutions like panchayats, neglecting critical infrastructure, and allowing corruption in sectors such as sand and liquor. Pawan also highlighted the public dissatisfaction with demolitions and other controversial actions under the previous government.
Pawan Kalyan said the failures of YSRCP are bringing better public support towards the coalition government, and he praised CM Naidu for restoring leadership in the state with renewed focus on building a better future for Andhra Pradesh. The actor-turned-politician expressed his strong conviction that soon, under Naidu’s guidance, the state will become a trillion-dollar economy. He also highlighted notable government successes: salaries were paid on the first of each month, while pensions worth ₹4,000 were distributed to 64 lakh beneficiaries. He also appreciated the development work done by the government in making panchayats strong across the state.
While acknowledging the support of the central government, Pawan pressed for funds for some very basic projects. The capital city and Polavaram aside, key infrastructures like roads and railways need attention and commitment. He appreciated CM Naidu’s leadership in handling the floods in Vijayawada and called for sustained effort to take the state forward.
Political circles have gone into a buzz over Pawan’s comments suggesting that CM Naidu should be continued as Chief Minister for another decade. The statement has fired up discussions on the future leadership of Andhra Pradesh and what lies in the air for the coalition government.
