Deputy Chief Minister and Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan posted an emotional post on Twitter (X) expressing his grief over the suicides of Hindu women in Pakistan. He said that it is very sad that Hindu sisters in Pakistan have committed such atrocities and lost their lives.
Turning emotional he said that “every time I see such news about the plight of Hindus in Pakistan and Bangladesh, I feel very sad. The suicides of Hema and Ventila have touched me.” Meanwhile, minority Hindus in Pakistan are living in very difficult conditions. Hindu girls lack basic protection.
Minorities are deeply worried after four Hindu girls were abducted in 15 days. Recently, a Hindu girl was abducted by assailants while she was returning home in Sindh, Pakistan. Even after filing a complaint with the police, her trace is not known. Hindus and other minorities constitute only 3.5 percent of Pakistan’s population.
All these minorities are facing religious persecution at the hands of the majority Muslims. A bill to prevent forced conversions was rejected by a parliamentary panel in October last year. Recently, a Hindu girl, Chandra Maharaj, was abducted by some assailants in the city of Hyderabad in Pakistan’s Sindh province.
According to the victim’s parents, Chandra was kidnapped in the Fateh Chowk area. The incident took place when she was returning home. Despite a complaint being filed with the police, her whereabouts are still unknown.
A few days ago, there were reports that three Hindu women were kidnapped and forcibly converted to Islam. This has caused deep concern among minority Hindus. Pawan Kalyan responded to this and expressed his solidarity to Hindus of our neighbouring countries.
Meanwhile, Pawan Kalyan after his two-day campaign in Maharashtra assembly elections in support of BJP-led NDA parties, expressed confidence that Mahayuti will return back to power with absolute majority. He said that people in the state are confident India will make significant progress under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
