Thursday, November 7, 2024

In a public gathering held at I.S. Jagannathapuram in Eluru district, Andhra Pradesh, Deputy Chief Minister and Jana Sena Party leader Pawan Kalyan launched a scathing attack on the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) while introducing the Deepam-2 scheme, which aims to provide free gas cylinders to eligible beneficiaries.

During his address, Pawan Kalyan accused YSRCP leaders of leveraging social media to propagate anti-government sentiments, strongly condemning their actions. He emphasized that those in power have a crucial responsibility to uphold democratic principles and to govern with integrity for the benefit of the people.

He criticized the YSRCP for the ongoing hardships faced by citizens, attributing these challenges to misguided policies and exploitation. Despite a significant electoral defeat, he expressed frustration over the party’s continued rhetoric. Pawan Kalyan pledged to hold the YSRCP accountable and affirmed his commitment to working tirelessly for the people.

The Deputy Chief Minister also raised urgent issues concerning women’s safety and welfare. He pointed out the lack of proper bathroom facilities and amenities in welfare hostels, warning that strict measures would be taken if any girls face problems. He firmly stated his zero-tolerance policy against harassment on social media, particularly through deepfake technology. Pawan promised to demonstrate what the Digital Privacy Act should encompass prior to its enactment and noted that the YSRCP is closely monitoring various social media platforms.

Additionally, Pawan Kalyan issued a firm warning regarding the actions of YSRCP leaders, stating that they would face serious repercussions if they took to the streets in the future. He accused them of spreading false narratives about EVM tampering, highlighting that after their seats dwindled from 151 to 11, they resorted to drama and song to mask their failures. Echoing Prime Minister Modi’s concerns about peace and security, he warned that anyone attempting to incite religious or communal tensions would face severe consequences for threatening the nation’s stability.

This speech at the Deepam-2 launch not only showcased Pawan Kalyan’s commitment to addressing pressing issues but also highlighted the political tensions in Andhra Pradesh, particularly between the Jana Sena Party and the YSR Congress Party.
