BRS senior MLA Harish Rao responded strongly to the recent drug case allegations against KTR’s brother-in-law, Raj Pakala, during a raid at his farmhouse. He expressed his anger, stating that the government is conspiring against KTR by using this case to defame him. He criticized the government for using the Congress party’s false propaganda on social media to divert public attention from pressing issues.
Harish Rao noted that the government was already aware of a function at Raj Pakala’s residence. He recalled how ministers and Congress leaders had previously warned that bombs would explode in the state, suggesting that these warnings were intentionally executed. He remarked that attacking a family function while portraying it as a rave party is a heinous act, highlighting that elderly people, children, and couples were present at the event.
Moreover, he pointed out that neither KTR nor his wife attended the function, yet they were being depicted as participants. He accused Revanth Reddy of attempting to tarnish KTR’s image out of political vengeance. Harish Rao urged police and excise officials not to yield to pressures from government leaders and to maintain faith in the systems. He criticized the government for staging such dramas to distract from growing public opposition, calling for an end to politicizing family functions and involving family members in such matters.
