The police department has taken the protests of Telangana Special Police (TGSP) constables seriously.On Saturday night, the DGP issued an order suspending 39 constables. The order said that action would be taken against those who instigated protests and violated discipline.
It has been revealed that action has been taken for resorting to protests while working in the disciplinary department. It has been stated that those who caused the protests and those who provoked it have been identified and action has been taken.
Among those suspended are six constables of 3 Battalion. There are six constables in the 17th battalion, six in the fourth battalion, 6 in the fifth, 5 in the sixth, 5 in the 12th and five constables in the 13th battalion. A total of 39 people were suspended.
Meanwhile, the battalion police are expressing their anger at the actions of the government. They raised an agitation demanding that those who were suspended should be taken to duty immediately. Protests were held in all battalions across the state. They raised slogans against the government.
The TGSP constables working in the battalions across the state are agitated. Initially the family members protested, but recently the constables directly took the road.They are expressing their concern that they are being cheated in the name of police duty. They are demanding that they should be freed from `bonded labour’ and implement a single police system.
DGP Jitender expressed anger over the protests of battalion constables across the state. He made it clear that it is not appropriate to protest in the police system, which is the nickname of discipline. He advised them that even though the old system will be implemented on holidays, it is not right for the constables to raise concerns.
He expressed suspicion that there anti-government forces are behind these agitations. He warned that legal action would be taken against those who participated in the protests. DGP reminded that Telangana recruitment system is being implemented by other states.
