Strongly disputing with her brother and former Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy’s claims that he had transferred shares to her `out of love’, APCC chief YS Sharmila termed it as a `blatant lie. Sharmila described it as the biggest joke of this century that they are doing all this for the cancellation of Jagan’s bail.
“Despite knowing that it is against the law, stating that the transfer of shares was out of love for his sister is a blatant lie. We have conspired to cancel his bail is the biggest joke of this century. Due to the love of property, he has forgotten the blood relation and attachments”, she added.
As he has brought family issues into the streets instead of resolving within four walls of the family by sitting together, she said now she is forced to answer all such accusations. As if that was not enough, she expressed anger that the issue was now dragged into a legal battle.
Reminding that Saraswathi company shares were not attached by the ED, Sharmila alleged that only to safeguard his control over properties her brother has been dragging the issue of bail and ED into the picture. She said that ED attached only Rs 32 crore worth of Saraswathi lands and did not touch its share.
Stating that company shares can be transferred at any time, Sharmila pointed out even if ED attached properties of any company it can never prevent transfer of that company’s shares. She recalled that the ED has been attaching assets of many companies listed in the stock markets, but trading of their shares is continuing.
She dismissed Jaganmohan Reddy’s arguments that shares should not be transferred due to the ED attachment in 2016. Moreover, he is expressing fear if the shares are transferred his bail will be revoked. She asked her brother following questions:
1. How come you signed the MOU clearly stating that 100 percent shares will be transferred to Sharmila in 2019? Then you don’t remember the bail issue?
2. How did mother YS Vijayalakshmi give permission to buy shares of the company in Classic and Sandur for Rs.42 crores in 2021? Don’t you remember your bail then?
3. How in 2021 did his wife sign the shares and given a gift deed with folio numbers to YS Vijayalakshmi? Don’t you remember your bail then?
Sharmila alleged that the fact is that Jaganmohan Reddy did not want to give up this project after losing the previous AP elections badly, but wanted to run Saraswati Cement under the banner of Bharathi Cements.
