Witness the versatility that Sree Vishnu pulls off in Swag, his new film, which is directed by Hasith Goli, of Raja Raja Chora. The little comedy drama aptly fulfills its purpose, produced by TG Vishwaprasad under the People Media Factory banner.
The core of Swag revolves around Bhavabhuti played by Sree Vishnu, who claims a luxurious multi-crore property at Vamsa Vriksha Nilayam. This is a battle over rightful heirship in a disputed war. The storyline interlinks Bhavabhuti’s journey with the historical fight for matriarchy led by Rukmini Devi, played by Ritu Varma. Sree Vishnu impresses and pleases audiences with his performance in five different roles, and Ritu Varma shines in a two-role performance.
While literally as captivating, Swag faces a few minor pacing issues and way too many characters. Still, precise handling of social equality by director Hasith Goli, in concert with the exceptional acting talent of Sree Vishnu, has helped quite a few critics give this their thumbs up. Supporting cast not only includes Meera Jasmine, Ravi Babu, Sunil, but also Goparaju Ramana, all of whom are powerful in their performance.
Mark that date: November 4, the premiere date of Swag on Amazon Prime Video, four weeks after its theatrical release on October 4.
