In a recent interview, renowned director Krishna Vamsi sparked conversation with his candid comments about Tollywood superstar Prabhas, suggesting that the industry isn’t fully tapping into the actor’s vast potential. Speaking on the occasion of the re-release of Khadgam, Krishna Vamsi praised Prabhas’s dedication and stellar performance but lamented that the superstar is often pigeonholed into action roles.
He recounted a time when he pitched an action-oriented story alongside Chakram. To his surprise, Prabhas chose Chakram, quipping that “everyone seems to propose action stories!” Krishna Vamsi highlighted that even after two decades, the trend hasn’t changed, with filmmakers still limiting Prabhas to high-octane roles.
Expressing his eagerness to bring an old idea to life, Krishna Vamsi remarked, “I could easily make a movie based on a subject I previously discussed with him, but Prabhas is booked solid!” He humorously added, “I can’t just tell him to drop everything for my project!”
