Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu was angry against the incident of gang-rape against mother-in-law and her daughter-in-law, who are migrant labrourer in Sri Sathya Sai district and directed SP not to spare accused.
He also ordered to give assurance to the victims that the government will take care of them. Home Minister Anitha also spoke to the SP and directed for strict action against the accused. Hindupuram MLA N Balakrishna consoled the victims over phone.
An atrocious incident took place on Friday in Chilamathur mandal of Sri Sathya Sai district. The person, who hails from Bellary in Karnataka, joined as watchman in a paper mill under construction in Chilamathur mandal five months ago. He lives with his wife, son and daughter-in-law in the adjacent shed.
Around 2 pm on Friday, six miscreants on three motorcycles approached the building and asked the watchman for a glass of water. As he said that water is at the pump shed, they went towards the tin Shed where the Watchman family was living.
When the watchman said that there were CCTV cameras, the miscreants destroyed them. The watchman’s wife, son and daughter-in-law came out. The assailants tried to assault the two women but the watchman and his son resisted. They were attacked.
The father and son were left helpless as they took the knife there and threatened them. The assailants chased both of them out, took the women to two separate leaf sheds and brutalized them. The one and a half year old child was crying but they didn’t care. The assailants stayed there for an hour and a half and then left.
The watchman’s son went to the nearby village and told the industrial owner about the incident through the villager’s phone, who then complained to the police. District SP Ratna reached the spot and affected women were taken to the government hospital for treatment.
The police cracked the case within 24 hours of the incident. The SP has formed four special teams to nab the miscreants. On Saturday evening, it was learned that five of the accused have been detained and are being interrogated. It is learned that three of the accused are old criminals and one of them is an inter-state most wanted criminal.
