Story:

Prasad, who comes from a middle-class background, often vents his anger toward his father (Goparaju Ramana), believing that his father’s choices have led to their current financial situation.

However, after tying the knot, he shares a deeply affectionate bond with his wife (Sangeerthana Vipin). Despite being married for two years, he remains adamant about not wanting children. He believes that raising kids today, along with providing them a quality education and other necessities, would cost upwards of a crore rupees. Additionally, he feels it is crucial to ensure his wife has access to the best medical care. For Prasad, having children without the means to support them seems futile, and his wife agrees with his perspective.

One day, out of the blue, Prasad’s wife reveals that she is expecting. Convinced that the condoms he has been using are defective, he decides to take legal action. He sues the condom manufacturer, demanding a compensation of one crore rupees. The narrative revolves around whether Prasad can win his case and secure the compensation he seeks.

Review:

Suhas takes on a captivating role as a middle-class man determined to attain financial stability before contemplating parenthood. His depiction of Prasad is heartfelt and relatable, effectively conveying a variety of emotions throughout the film. He excels in the courtroom sequences, where his genuine performance brings considerable depth to the narrative.

Sangeerthana Vipin shines as Prasad’s spouse, portraying a character full of emotional depth and resilience. Her performance is particularly striking during her dramatic courtroom entrance in the second half, which significantly elevates the storyline and engages the audience.

Vennela Kishore stands out as the comedic backbone of the film, bringing a delightful energy with his witty remarks and humorous expressions of exasperation during the court scenes. His final courtroom moment, where he humorously shares his parenting woes, is bound to resonate with audiences and elicit uproarious laughter. Meanwhile, Rajendra Prasad and Prabhas Seenu contribute their own comedic touches in their roles, and Murali Sharma makes a significant impact in a crucial part introduced in the second half of the movie.

Although the premise created by Sandeep Reddy Bandla and the performances of Suhas and Goparaju Ramana have merit, the storyline is somewhat simplistic and slows down at various points. Particularly in the second half, the screenplay falters with a trivial execution that does not evoke laughter or maintain interest. Moreover, several crucial scenes are not logically connected, which diminishes the overall effectiveness of the plot.

The opening scenes with the main couple fell flat due to sluggish writing. Moreover, the tension between the hero and heroine’s families could have been developed more effectively. In summary, although the director successfully conveyed the core concept, he struggled to make certain routine and tedious moments engaging.

First-time director Sandeep Reddy Bandla demonstrates potential but falls short in crafting a captivating and cohesive screenplay. The musical numbers and background score by Vijai Bulganin are decent but do not fully resonate during key moments. However, the production quality is commendable.

In summary, Janaka Aithe Ganaka tackles an audacious theme but ends up disappointing. Suhas gives a strong performance, and director Sandeep Reddy Bandla does a fair job at the helm. Some additional polishing of the script and minimizing redundancy could have greatly improved the film’s effectiveness.
